Lullaby Maternity, LLC designs and sells quality comfort products for pregnant women. Our first product, Lullaby Maternity Pillows, is the ultimate two-pillow sleep system. Established in 2004, Lullaby Maternity, LLC is located in Sinking Spring, PA. Having produced three children in two and a half years, I understand, first hand, the challenges of getting a good night's sleep while pregnant. Having had my children so close together, I also know the importance of getting a good night's sleep while also trying to breast-feed. While pregnant with my first child, my OB/Gyn informed me, and I also read, I should avoid sleeping flat on my back*. As a back sleeper, I would wake up many nights in a panic because I kept turning from my side to my back while asleep. So, I started placing a pillow behind me. I figured if I tried to lie flat on my back, at least the pillow would allow me to rest at a comfortable angle. As my belly blossomed, I grew more uncomfortable when I tried to sleep. I placed a pillow between my legs and ankles to help alleviate the leg cramps. Then, as my belly got bigger, I found my back and hips started to hurt from the weight of my belly pulling me forward - pulling my spine out of alignment. So, I grabbed another pillow and shoved it under my tummy for support. But, when I wanted to turn over, I ended up wrestling with pillows, blankets and my protruding belly. Needless to say, getting up to use the bathroom (more than one time a night) and having to rearrange the pillows again did not allow me much sleep. From this experience, I designed a pillow for my own use – and LOVED IT!! So did all the pregnant friends I showed it to, as well as the ladies and husbands in my birthing class. After my first daughter arrived, via C-section, I used the three-tiered portion of the pillow to cradle her tiny body while I breast-fed her when lying down. It worked like a charm.
